One of the things for me that is always a standout is when you’re able to do special things on the road that you have not done on records. And when I think about that kinda thing, I think about songs like “Teach Your Children” by Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young. When we were on the road in 2003 on the Underneath Acoustic Tour, preparing to release the Underneath album in the early part of that coming year, 2004. We were out there playing shows, night after night, and one of the more special moments to me was gathering around one microphone together, with an acoustic guitar and just singing. 

It wasn’t about the rhythm, it was about the melody, it was about the vocals.
